About the role This role reports to the GM Operations and is critical to VinPro staying ahead of Health and Safety requirements, ensuring our people get home safe every day and continuing to promote wellbeing in the workplace.
The role has a focus on improving existing systems, processes and behaviours and working proactively with VinPro Leadership and the wider team to ensure positive, timely and well implemented change.
Although Health, Safety, and Compliance focused, this role also provides administrative & project support and HR services.
It is a truly hands-on role, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to work across all departments, learning about all facets of our business.
Your personal growth and development will be supported by the GM Operations and the CEO.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all Health, Safety and People compliance on site to ensure that VinPro meets/exceeds our legislative and legal obligations.
Organise and coordinate training for staff on site including logistics, communication, and material preparation as required.
Maintain and develop the internal H&S/HR system including employee information, training and certification, performance management and safety.
Draft and distribute information and updates to keep a constant flow of communication across the whole business to drive safety and wellbeing initiatives.
Compile and prepare reports on safety performance metrics as requested.
About you: You will have experience in a Health and Safety based role, supported with some HR and project coordination skills, ideally within the food and beverage manufacturing sector.
You will either have or be working towards NZQA Level 4 and be an NZISM Affiliate or similar.
You will be self-motivated and energetic and will be known for your organisational skills, eye for the detail, tenacity and empathy.
You will be a clear and effective communicator with the ability to build relationships and influence people from all walks of life and at all levels of the business.
You will be familiar with MS Office and be able to pick up new systems and processes easily whilst having the curiosity to identify opportunities and implement changes to existing systems and processes.
You will enjoy working as part of a diverse team and be known for your ability to change hearts and minds through a collaborative and pragmatic approach to work and life.
