The Company: Our client, a foundation of New Zealand's transportation infrastructure, is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior GIS Engineer to play a fundamental role in supporting their team with shaping the nations geospatial facilities.

The Role: You will play a key role in supporting the team with:
Configuring, upgrading, patching, and administration of FME, ArcGIS, and Geocortex serversDevelop, manage, and maintain automation workflows, data integration and ETL tools to streamline data workflowsOversee service requests, incidents, and other issues/tasks related to live application supportForward planning, ensuring that patching schedules, upgrade requirements, regular delivery schedules are met, and work pipelines are planned appropriatelyCarrying out technical designs, develop geospatial solutions and applications primarily using FME, ESRI, and Geocortex softwarePromoting new initiatives and solutions to the business including continuous improvements with FME, ESRI and Geocortex, Maximo & SAP softwareAbout You: Degree in Information Management or Computer Science or Graduate Diploma in ICT (NZQA Level 7)Minimum 5 years' experience in a GIS (Geographic Information System) related positionProven expertise with geospatial technologies, including experience in both web-based and desktop GIS solutionsProven experience and competency with Safe software FME Form and FlowProven experience and high level of competency with Esri Technology stack– including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and mobile GIS appsStrong SQL, Python, and JavaScript expertise to manage spatial data and write optimised queriesKnowledge of geospatial web services, such as REST APIs, for seamless integration of spatial data with other systemsExcellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and solve issuesProven experience delivering pragmatic, quality outputs to deadlines within fast-paced environmentsExcellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skillsPassion for staying up-to-date with the latest GIS technologies and trendsBenefits: $80,000 – $100,000 depending on experienceYou will be part of a highly experienced and successful team to learn and grow fromYou will be working on a variety of projects with a meaningful and tangible impact on communities across AotearoaImmediate start for the new year for a minimum of six months, with the potential for extensionHow to Apply: Apply online today.
