The Role:
Riley Consultants are seeking an experienced and inspiring Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their Auckland Team. As an experienced engineer, you'll play an important role in the growth and development of an established team, working alongside drafters, geotechnical engineers & geologists as well as the management team. You'll contribute accurate feedback & updates across your projects, and progress towards individual & company goals. You'll provide technical expertise, software/design and calculation guidance, quality assurance, feedback & estimates, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality designs and reports.
Responsibilities:
Providing mentorship, guidance, and technical support to junior engineers & geologists.
Contribute towards a broad scope of geotechnically-challenging projects from concept to completion.
Visit sites and conduct detailed geotechnical investigations & analysis to assess conditions and recommend appropriate design solutions.
Utilize industry-leading geotechnical engineering software to oversee calculations, modelling, and design works.
Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers & contractors, to ensure project compliance and progression.
Prepare technical reports, drawings, and presentations for internal & external use.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
6yr+ of relevant geotechnical experience.
Proficiency in geotechnical engineering software such as Whallop, RocScience Suite, or equivalent.
Excellent English Language skills both verbal and written.
The ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior colleagues.
CPEng preferred but not required.
