Our friendly Parks & Recreation team are seeking a Senior Gardener.
Key responsibilities for this role include: Plant and care for trees, bedding plants and shrubsReading and understanding landscape plansDemonstrating extensive knowledge and skill-base within the horticultural areas in which you are assigned to look afterTraffic managementOperating of machinery, tools and equipmentWhat you will bring: A formal horticultural qualification or experienceFull NZ drivers licenceExperience operating a range of machineryExperience in staff supervisionSound time management and organisational skillsWhat we offer: Career progression and training/ development opportunitiesPositive focus of employee health and well-being: Workstation assessments, free flu vaccines, EAP services, 50% off eye exams, discounted gym memberships etc.Kiwisaver and Superannuation SchemesAccess to sick leave from day one of employmentAppointment time leave: Up to 2 hours for important appointments eg.

As a component of this role involves interaction with one or more of the above groups, as part of the assessment of candidates, we will require Police Vetting as per the Children's Act 2014 and a Pre-employment Alcohol and Drug Screening test to ensure we are providing a safe environment for our customers and members of the public.
