You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable systems while also coaching and mentoring junior developers.Must-HavesEducation: A completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Experience: At least 5 years of work experience as an intermediate full stack developer.Agile methodologies: Practical experience using agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM).Database expertise: Experience with database design and development using relational databases.Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable experience with the following:React Native (for iOS and Android app development).Node.js for backend services and API development.CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.Application architecture, focusing on scalable, secure, and reliable systems.Agile tools such as Jira for sprint planning and collaboration.Compliance and security standards, especially in regulated industries ISO 27001 (e.g., healthcare, finance).Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable applications for iOS and Android using React Native.Develop and optimize backend systems and APIs with Node.js.Oversee and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient deployment processes.Lead and coach junior developers, fostering technical growth and best practices.Collaborate with the UX designer to deliver intuitive and seamless user experiences.Ensure all systems meet regulatory and compliance standards.Actively contribute to sprint planning, utilizing tools like Jira to ensure timely delivery.Our preferred working hours: 7am - 3pm New Zealand time with both full remote & hybrid options available.
