Ko wai matou About us: Working at Government House will provide you with a rare opportunity to work in a unique and challenging environment.
Supporting the operations on a day-to-day basis, Government House is the private residence of the Governor General and hosts guests ranging from awards recipients and local community groups through to foreign dignitaries and state officials.
Mo tenei turanga mahi About this role: You will report to the Team Leader Food and Beverage in Wellington and work closely with other household and kitchen staff.
You will establish yourself to lead the day-to-day operations of this busy household providing personal service to the Vice Regal couple.
You will also be given opportunities to create events and experiences for Vice Regal functions and events. This role is Wellington based, full time 40 hours per week and involves shift work over a 7-day week and includes travel to Auckland.

Ideally over 3 years' experience in a similar high-quality service setting
Creativity and innovation in event delivery is a must
Ability to remain calm and problem solve in a fast-moving and evolving environment
Good communication and leadership skills
High standards of personal presentation
Strong knowledge of beverages and service delivery
High standards and a strong attention to detail
