As we continue to grow, we invite you to apply to join us in this new role and be part of our high performing and motivated Ecology team in Tauranga.About the roleProvide relevant specialist consultancy services in the area of freshwater ecology, and other relevant specialist areas.Perform freshwater fish surveys, stream ecological valuations and effects assessments, freshwater fauna salvage and relocation services, and water sampling.Develop and deliver fish management plans, stream naturalisation plans, assessment of effects, and other relevant reports.Provide pertinent freshwater ecological advice to internal and external stakeholders.Present expert evidence to the Environment Court.What you will bring to the role3 – 5 years of relevant professional experience.Experience assessing ecological effects, ecological surveys, fish salvage, and instream ecological restoration.Proven project management skills: budgeting, client liaison, project setup, and meeting deadlines.Proven leadership skills; a collegiate, team-player attitude.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to communicate on appropriate technical and commercial levels to a diverse range of current and potential clients.Prior experience in a professional consultancy will be an advantage.The ability to work independently and part of a team.4WD experience.What we offerFlexible/hybrid working culture, facilitating a healthy work-life balance.Employee recognition.The opportunity to work in a company that is making a difference to our environment.The chance to work in a vibrant environment, committed to fostering a workplace that embraces diversity and inclusion.About UsWildland Consultants is a leading, progressive ecological consultancy committed to providing high quality ecological information, advice and technical services to a wide range of clients.
