As an established practice with several decades providing Advisory, Building Consulting, and Engineering services, this is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark leading the Fire Engineering division. You will be supported by 2 experienced industry Directors. The ideal applicant will be Auckland-based, but there is potential to be Wellington-based or regionally for the right person. The position will offer a competitive package in the $140 - $160k range.
The Role: Leadership opportunity as part of an established, flat-structured team of 12, supported by Director-level colleagues. The role will also involve producing clear and technically sound Fire Reports and specifications and drawings for consent and construction, both for Acceptable Solutions and VM2 projects. You will be the client face for Fire Engineering work and will be comfortable working across the full project life cycle, as well as managing, supporting, and mentoring a small team.
Tertiary Qualified in Fire Engineering
Experience managing the delivery and financial performance of small to medium scale projects through to completion
Up to date with 5 - 10 years + working with relevant NZ design codes and standards
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently
Strong skills in problem solving and an innovative thinker
Broad range of Fire Engineering experience with a commercial focus
Experienced with CFD modelling
CPEng with Engineering New Zealand
