Add expected salary to your profile for insights We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Planner and Analyst to join our Finance Team at Port Taranaki.
The opportunity As a critical member of our finance team, the Senior Financial Planner and Analyst will play a key role in shaping the future of our business.
This position is integral to driving future business success by providing data-driven insights and in-depth analysis for decision makers.
Partnering alongside key decision makers, this position is also responsible for creating detailed financial models, evaluating complex scenarios, and providing informed strategic recommendations.
This is a unique opportunity to influence the direction of our company and contribute to our long-term success.
Other key responsibilities include: Driving annual business planning and budgeting, deliver critical financial insights, and champion continuous improvement by enhancing processes and systems.
Collaborate with teams to establish and track KPIs, and oversee capital expenditure management, ensuring alignment with our long-term goals.
Lead the capital process by overseeing and reporting on capital expenditure projects, ensuring proper finalisation and capitalisation, while also driving business case modelling.
About you You will have previous experience in a financial planning or similar senior financial position and be able to be agile in your day-to-day work.
In setting you up for success you must also have the following: Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, business, economics or similar field.
Minimum 8+ years' experience in a financial planning and analysis position.
CA ANZ recognised Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent qualification.
Demonstrable experience providing strategic financial insights and business partner support to executive teams.
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Proven proficiency and expertise in financial modelling, planning, budget and forecasting.
Are a dynamic self-starter with a strategic and growth mindset.
Digital systems literacy; preferably with experience in the Micosoft365 suite (Excel, PowerBI), IBM planning and analytics, Maximo.
