In this pivotal role, you will act as a subject matter expert in financial reporting, project accounting, and systems processes, ensuring critical financial information is accurate, reliable, and aligned with reporting standards.Please be aware that, due to ECL Group's Christmas shutdown, applications will be reviewed starting the week of 6 January 2025.Key Responsibilities:Manage month-end financial accounting, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.Oversee project accounting and provide insights on variances and trends.Deliver meaningful financial analysis to support business decision-making.Prepare high-quality financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and board reports.Ensure compliance with tax and audit requirements and support external audits.Provide leadership, mentoring, and expertise within the Finance team.Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive efficiency.What are we looking for?Holds a bachelor's degree in accounting.A qualified Chartered Accountant with CAANZ.An expert (5yrs+) in External Financial Reporting and Audits.Demonstrates exceptional Excel skills.An excellent communicator, with the ability to build relationships with people external to the company and at all levels across ECL Group.A critical thinker and proactive individual with a strong analytical mindset, committed to achieving excellence and effectiveness in their work.A person who can become proficient in the company's financial systems and processes and serve as a vital resource for the business in understanding and interpreting financial information.Please note that this role requires working in the office five days a week due to the nature of the responsibilities.
