In May 2021, the team celebrated a major milestone with their last ever roll of synthetic carpet coming off the manufacturing line, marking the transition to a wool-only carpet and rug company - a move that reduced their use of imported synthetic fibre annually by 2,500 tonnes.
With our head office co-located in Papatoetoe with our Auckland manufacturing facility, sites in Whanganui and Napier, and a remote team in Australia, you'll be reporting to our Head of Group Reporting and Commercial Finance and playing a pivotal role in:
managing the financial accounting and Group treasury functions,overseeing the preparation of financial statements, managing the general ledger,ensuring compliance with accounting standards,taking responsibility for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing cash flow, andoptimizing our Group's financial resources.About you: This position requires a strong background in financial accounting and treasury management, process improvement and implementation, technical accounting, taxes, and balance sheet management. You'll have a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, CPA or CA qualification and somewhere around 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role with exposure to tax compliance and risk. You will be confident and love what you do and be known for taking accountability and upholding the highest service standards, whilst having fun and delivering high quality work to deadlines. You'll also be highly organized, have a positive can-do attitude and be amazing at building relationships and collaborating with others to ensure problems are resolved quickly and everyone achieves their goals. Having attention to detail and a way with systems and change is also critical as our business continues to embed D365 and new ways of doing things. Process improvement methodologies will be highly regarded, as will experience in international markets and foreign exchange management. A growth and customer-centric mindset is essential.
