Senior Financial Accountant

About the role As a Senior Financial Accountant at Barkers, you will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle and providing high-quality financial reporting for the organisation. Based in our Grafton office in Auckland, this is a permanent, full-time role. What you'll be doing Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standardsManage the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and general ledger analysisProvide support for the preparation of the organisation's annual budget and forecastingIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial reportingAssist with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as requiredLiaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to ensure all financial reporting requirements are metWhat we're looking for Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance5+ years' experience as a financial accountant, preferably in a similar role within a commercial organisationStrong technical accounting skills and knowledge of relevant accounting standardsProficient in the use of financial software and ERP systemsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWhat we offer At Barkers, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
