Senior Financial Accountant

This organisation, based in central Auckland is a well-known, successful property investment company. They are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Financial Accountant to be part of their close-knit team.About the role:This is a full-time permanent position, reporting to the CFO and CEO.Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, and other relevant systemsComplete daily bank reconciliations and cashflow forecastingManage the finance aspects relating to tenants, including responding to queries and debtor reportingComplete month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of monthly management reportsEnsure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulationsLead finance projects to enhance efficiency and stakeholder experienceProvide general support across the business as part of a small high performing Head Office teamPreparation of annual financial statements and tax returns for review.Manage payables/creditor processes including reviewing supplier invoices and payrollComplete annual tenant opex wash-ups and budgetsPrepare annual Group P&L and cash forecasts, including rolling and long-term forecasts.Contribute to the design of internal controls and finance risk management framework.Provide strategic input into the direction of the Group alongside senior management.Identify and recommend opportunities to optimize returns within the Group's risk profile.About you:4-5 years' experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysisCA or CPA qualificationExperience within property sector - an advantageProcess-oriented with a commitment to excellence and routineStrong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrates confidentiality, trustworthiness, and professionalismShows drive, enthusiasm, and self-motivationAdaptable and responsive to changeCreative problem solver with resilience in overcoming obstaclesProficient in Excel and experienced in financial modellingFamiliarity with accounting standards, tax compliance, and organisational proceduresIn return the company offers:Competitive salarySupportive team cultureCareer progressionCar parkLong term stable employmentIf you're ready to contribute your expertise to a dynamic team and drive strategic financial initiatives, we invite you to APPLY.
