Senior Financial Accountant

The Company: Our client is an innovative global company that has been highly successful in its market with a key focus on product, service and distribution.
They are widely acknowledged as a market leader in their field and they have an established business in New Zealand which is continuing to grow.
The Role: The Senior Financial Accountant plays a critical role in providing technical financial management for the Group.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant will also lead a team of 3 and be responsible for: Providing effective leadership to the Assistant Accountants and Administration Assistant.
Co-ordination, ownership and completion of the month end accounting and reporting processes.
Administering leases for Group properties.
Managing the full process of accounting of property transactions.
End to end responsibility and oversight for the accounting and reporting of all New Zealand hedging activities and costing rates.
Cash flow management.
Working across the business to support delivery of forecasts, budgets, and operating plans.
Tax calculations and compliance GST, FBT, Income Tax calculations, IRD returns and payments to meet deadlines.
The Candidate: CA (or equivalent) qualified, ideally you will have financial accounting experience in a medium or large corporation and/or 4+ years in a large CA practice.
The successful candidate will be passionate about finance, possess excellent communication skills and be a strong leader.
