What's so exciting about this role? We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This position is based in Penrose and will report directly to our Chief Financial Officer.
What this role entails? In the role of Senior Financial Accountant, you will be instrumental in the delivery, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of our new ERP system. You will become a subject matter expert in all facets of the accounting function, including project accounting, and exhibit a strong command of our systems and processes. Your day-to-day tasks will include month-end journals and accruals, Company revenue recognition, COGS allocation and reconciliation, and other standard BAU activities. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring that essential financial information and reports are accurate and dependable, as well as contributing to both internal and external audits and all financial reporting to meet high-quality standards and deadlines.
What are we looking for? Holds a bachelor's degree in accounting. A qualified Chartered Accountant with CAANZ. An expert (5yrs+) in External Financial Reporting and Audits. Demonstrates exceptional Excel skills. An excellent communicator, with the ability to build relationships with people external to the company and at all levels across ECL Group. A critical thinker and proactive individual with a strong analytical mindset, committed to achieving excellence and effectiveness in their work. A person who can become proficient in the company's financial systems and processes and serve as a vital resource for the business in understanding and interpreting financial information.
