Senior Financial Accountant - Fixed TermIn this 6-month fixed term full time Senior Financial Accountant position, you will play a key role in supporting the team to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis for PowerNet and other managed entities, while we work through the process to implement a new financial system.Reporting to the Financial Analysis and Reporting Manager, you will utilise your business acumen and strong relationship building skills, collaborating with various stakeholders to provide information and insights to support decision-making.You will be a team player who is highly organised, results focussed, and able to work effectively and accurately to meet deadlines.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the preparation of the PowerNet monthly reports and other associated reporting requirements for management.Conduct monthly analytical analysis related to PowerNet's operating and financial performance.Present findings to departments, depots, and senior management as needed.Assist with reporting, modelling, and analytical work for new initiatives, projects, or enhancing existing report outputs.Provide relevant and accurate financial information to support decision-making.Essential Knowledge and Skills:A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or other Commercial areaChartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand MembershipMinimum of 3 years' experience in management accounting roles or with relevant commercial experience.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial and operating data effectively.Experience in managing significant management accounts.About PowerNetPowerNet is an electrical distribution business that designs, builds, maintains, and operates electricity networks across much of the lower South Island of New Zealand.
