As our business grows, we are looking to further strengthen our service organization by hiring a Senior Field Service Engineer to perform equipment installation, validation, service, and repair for all ranges of STERIS equipment within the assigned territory in New Zealand. You will provide User Training and troubleshooting support in the Australia market as required, as well as assist the Service Manager / Director in managing spare parts inventory and documentation.If you are customer-focused and want to work to build a world-class service organization, equipped with experience in medical equipment maintenance and are willing to travel for job purposes – read on!This is a customer-facing role, to support our customers in this assigned territory; i.e., you must be based in Melbourne or surroundings.What You Will DoDevelop and implement technical service function for STERIS equipment.Perform equipment installations, preventive maintenance, validations, and repairs of equipment and products in the field as assigned.Interface with customers via customer visits, telephone, or email to provide quality product support.Provide in-service sessions for the customers and conduct equipment and assist product clinical trials demonstrating applications with regards to systems, accessories, and techniques.Provide applications/user/technical training.Lead and train your team.File product complaints according to company procedures.Assist with spare parts inventory management for various products.Identify training needs and make recommendations.Maintain preventive maintenance and troubleshooting and document accordingly.Document and update internal procedures.Manage and maintain equipment/spares database file through accurate documentation of movement, tracking, and repair statuses.Deliver a superior level of customer after-sales support.Your ExpertiseTrades Certificate, Engineering Certificate/Diploma with strong hands-on technical service experience with medical equipment.Experience in troubleshooting, repair, modification, overhaul, or refurbishment of standard and special purpose equipment and systems components.Must be able to operate a computer, have an intermediate understanding of DOS and Windows, as well as be proficient in Microsoft Office software packages, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Visual acuity and manual dexterity are necessary to manipulate tools and equipment to perform essential functions.Customer-oriented and focused.What You Will NeedRestricted or Full Electrical LicensePossess own vehicle (car allowance will be provided).Flexibility to carry out work duties occasionally beyond ordinary working hours.Travel within New Zealand and Australia as assigned.
