This is a newly created full time position which will be instrumental in establishing processes and procedures as we deliver the next iteration of N4L's Managed Network, rolling out a significant upgrade to enhance internet, cybersecurity, and filtering services for schools and kura.This role will play a vital role in our operation as it will interface directly with schools as well as internal support and engineering teams to ensure work is executed correctly as well as liaising with vendors and third party suppliers to ensure the necessary equipment is provisioned.
This is a chance to get in on day one to establish best practices around these functions so your thought leadership will be at the fore in this diverse and exciting position.Key responsibilitiesOrchestrate end-to-end delivery of network upgrades, provisioning, and installations with schools, installers, and key vendors.Manage the full lifecycle of network connections, including provisioning, decommissioning, and configuration changes.Oversee logistics, ensuring timely procurement, delivery, and deployment of network hardware.Utilise technical expertise in firewalls, SFPs, cabling standards, and New Zealand's UFB network infrastructure.Foster strong communication and collaboration among schools, vendors, and stakeholders to align efforts and resolve challenges.Continuously improve processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing innovative solutions.The successful candidate will haveA hands-on attitude with a passion for making things happen.Experience in logistics and scheduling across diverse teams and stakeholders.Prior experience working for a New Zealand ISP with strong knowledge of access circuit types.Solid technical knowledge of network hardware and infrastructure, including UFB, satellite connectivity, firewalls, and cabling.Proficiency in systems like Salesforce and Xero to manage workflows and reporting.Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines without breaking a sweat.A knack for problem-solving, relationship-building, and staying calm under pressure.Why Join N4L?We are involved in exciting technology projects across various platforms, systems and services, and you'll be part of a team that operates one of the largest managed networks in New Zealand.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as an Operations Specialist?
