As a member of ASB's Financial Crime Investigations Transaction Monitoring team, you will help protect ASB and its customers from the impact of Financial Crime. You will contribute in a meaningful way to the protection of Aotearoa New Zealand from organised crime, modern slavery, extreme right-wing groups, and other activity which places New Zealand at risk.
Mo te turanga | About the Role: We are looking for Senior Analysts to join our Transaction Monitoring team on a permanent basis. These senior roles play a pivotal role in supporting the team to comply with Anti Money Laundering (AML) / Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF) legislation and ASB regulatory requirements.
You will: Support the team to balance exceptional customer service with compliance obligations through analysis of information, and sound decision making.Provide SME advice to internal stakeholders and role model strong risk awareness and behaviours.Provide support for FCI projects and simplification initiatives.Analyse procedures, processes, and systems performance and provide recommendations.Influence and engage with stakeholders for the delivery of the TM replacement and communicate business needs and issues.Contribute to the testing and analysis of design and business requirements and solutions.First and foremost, you are passionate about Financial Crime, have a naturally inquisitive and investigative mind, strong attention to detail and decision-making skills. You have experience working with AML/CFT legislation and policies and managing operational, compliance, financial and reputational risk. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, feel comfortable questioning things which don't seem quite right, and are able to articulate risk as it relates to financial crime. You will be committed to delivering unbeatable customer outcomes, be able to build credibility with your team and senior stakeholders and be pro-active and confident in your ability to manage your day. You have a proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and demonstrate a focus on continuous process improvement.
