Job DescriptionThe Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) is a new Smart facility set up under the Division of Campus Emergency and Security, University Campus Infrastructure.The IOC leverages cutting-edge technologies to provide first-level response to functions spanning across safety and security, facilities, retail and dining, transport, housing, MICE, sustainability, and emergency preparedness.The IOC – Centre (Operations) Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operations of the IOC.
You will be part of the pioneer team of specialists in delivering operational success for the IOC.Responsibilities:Monitor and attend to alerts received from multiple technological systems – security and non-security – in the IOC.Evaluate incidents and escalate to the relevant action parties.Coordinate and manage incidents with emergency response personnel, other departments, government authorities, and service providers.Communicate effectively with emergency response personnel and all stakeholders.Gather enquiries, establish facts, and prepare reports.Use management software and tools to diagnose problems, collect performance statistics, and create reports.Document and maintain records of matters that occur during the shift.Ensure IOC equipment and systems are working properly.Identify operational problems and work with IOC management to rectify them, to support the service level requirements of the IOC.QualificationsGCE 'A' Levels or Diploma holder, or with 3-5 years of working experience in an IOC/SOC environment.Must be able to work shifts.Experience working in an operations centre environment is preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Possess the ability to exercise operational acumen and initiative to resolve issues, and able to work under pressure.Pleasant disposition with a customer-centric mindset to communicate with multiple categories of stakeholders.Able to articulate well to convey information with team members and higher-ups, especially in a crisis situation.Able to read and interpret information and data generated on the IOC platform.Pays close attention to detail and able to identify even the smallest irregularities.More InformationLocation: Kent Ridge CampusOrganization: University Campus InfrastructureDepartment: Campus Emergency & SecurityEmployee Referral Eligible: YesJob Requisition ID: 25082
