Job DescriptionThe Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) is a new Smart facility set up under the Division of Campus Emergency and Security, University Campus Infrastructure.The IOC leverages on cutting edge technologies to provide first level response to functions spanning across safety and security, facilities, retail and dining, transport, housing, MICE, sustainability, and emergency preparedness.The IOC – Centre (Operations) Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operations of the IOC.
You will be part of the pioneer team of specialists in delivering operational success for the IOC.Job DescriptionMonitor and attend to alerts received from multiple technological systems – security and non-security – in the IOCEvaluate incidents and escalate to the relevant action partiesCoordinate and manage incidents with emergency response personnel, other departments, government authorities and service providersCommunicates effectively with emergency response personnel and all stakeholdersGather enquiries, establish facts and prepare reportsUses management software and tools to diagnose problems, collect performance statistics and create reportsDocument and maintain records of matters that occur during the shiftEnsure IOC equipment and systems are working properlyIdentifies operational problems and work with IOC management to rectify them, to support the service level requirements of the IOCQualificationsGCE 'A' Levels or Diploma holder, or with 3-5 years of working experience in an IOC/SOC environmentMust be able to work shiftsExperience working in an operations centre environment is preferredProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsPossess the ability to exercise operational acumen and initiative to resolve issues, and able to work under pressurePleasant disposition with customer centric mindset to communicate with multiple categories of stakeholdersAble to articulate well to convey information with team members and higher ups, especially in a crisis situationAble to read and interpret information and data generated on the IOC platformPays close attention to detail and able to identify even the smallest irregularitiesMore InformationLocation: Kent Ridge CampusOrganization: University Campus InfrastructureDepartment : Campus Emergency & SecurityEmployee Referral Eligible: YesJob requisition ID : 25082
