We provide essential wellness and wellbeing support, pastoral care, and cultivate strong alumni relations while spearheading development and fundraising efforts for the school.We are seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our team as a Senior Executive in Alumni and Donor Relations.Job ResponsibilitiesAlumni Engagement: Reconnect with alumni and identify opportunities for them to give back to the school through their time, treasure, and talent.Recognition and Mentorship: Identify distinguished alumni for recognition and work towards establishing mentorship schemes between senior and junior alumni, as well as alumni and current students.Donor Relations: Identify potential donors from the alumni pool and cultivate relationships to support the school's development initiatives.Event Planning: Plan and execute regular alumni initiatives, ensuring consistent communication and updates through various channels.Administrative Support: Manage the administrative aspects of the role, including database management, correspondence, and reporting.Collaborative Work: Engage with other areas of the Student Life Office's work, contributing to its diverse initiatives.Communication Tools: Develop and design EDMs or alumni newsletters, enhancing communication with our alumni community.QualificationsBachelor's Degree: At least 2 years' experience in alumni relations (either professionally or as a student leader). Degrees in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, Event Management, or related fields are advantageous.Excellent Command of English: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong connections with alumni and donors, understanding their motivations and interests.Team Player: Cooperative and supportive in a team setting, yet able to work independently and manage personal tasks effectively.Demonstrated Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in outward-facing activities and meticulous administrative tasks, utilizing Microsoft Office—including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint—to manage all aspects of work efficiently.Proficiency in Social Media: Skilled in using social media platforms to drive engagement and conversion.Versatility: Willingness to be involved in varied aspects of student life initiatives.Initiative and Proactivity: Ability to take initiative and act proactively in driving alumni and donor engagement.Preferably with: Experience in marketing communication and event management, along with the ability to design EDMs, will be considered advantageous.Employment type: An initial 2 years' contract will be offered, subject to renewal.Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.More InformationLocation: Kent Ridge CampusOrganization: School of ComputingDepartment: Dean's Office (School of Computing)Employee Referral Eligible: YesJob requisition ID: 27102
