If you know the Environmental Health legislation inside and out and are seeking a role with variety that remains challenging and exciting day after day, then this may be the job for you.
In this role your focus will be to apply your expertise, skills and focus on great customer service to support and drive the Environmental Health Response team's delivery of the noise function.
You'll also be supporting the team with other environmental health issues, including food safety, health protection (i.e.
tattooing, skin piercing, etc), statutory nuisances, HASNO, and water quality, etc.
as required.
You will be calling upon your extensive experience to manage escalated and complex complaints.
You will assist and support the team and will be able to step up in an acting capacity when required.
You will coach and mentor other team members and offer advice and direction along with training and development guidance.
You will also be involved in projects, research, developing and promoting quality management along with monitoring and helping the team to meet its KPIs.
He korero mou: About you The successful applicant must be a qualified Environmental Health Officer and be committed to providing first rate customer service.
You will be professional in your approach and a natural communicator with expert interpersonal skills.
You will be an adept negotiator and have an inherent ability to resolve conflict.
We are looking for a candidate with a broad knowledge of environmental health and at least 5 years working experience.
As a senior member of the team, you will also need to bring with you your quality control skills as you will be involved in auditing and KPI monitoring.
A current New Zealand Drivers Licence is essential.
You will be warranted for this role and will be required to work after hours, weekends and public holidays where necessary.
