Senior Enterprise Architects And Principal Architects

Senior Enterprise Architects And Principal Architects
Company:

New Zealand Frost Fans Limited

Details of the offer

Senior Enterprise Architects and Principal Architects Wellington Central, Wellington Architects (Information & Communication Technology) Government (Government & Defence) Full time $163,269 - $190,481 (including 4% superannuation) Join more-than 15,000 New Zealanders working for the NZ Defence Force and directly contribute to the defence, security and well-being of Aotearoa New Zealand. The Architecture Team's mission is to create the environment for a digital ecosystem to evolve and thrive, supporting the NZDF in whatever it does. The team acts to ensure that the vision and strategy of the long term is not lost while addressing the day-to-day needs of a unique organisation within Aotearoa New Zealand. You will be a critical thinker who can see issues from multiple perspectives. Up for a challenge, you will be curious about how things can be done differently, have strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and a determination to make a difference. With significant change on the way, you will lead out in shaping and influencing the enterprise through undertaking architecture at the enterprise level, providing the roadmap and runway to change how the Defence Force connects. You will be a self-driven learner, confident in interacting with different parts of the business, with a forward thinking approach to solving architecture problems. The two roles, Principal Architect and Senior Enterprise Architect, work closely together, but with the depth of knowledge of the Principal Architects complementing the breadth of knowledge and business understanding of the Senior Enterprise Architects. As a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will work to provide roadmaps, principles, patterns, standards, and architecture to guide the wider organisation through significant change. You will do this in partnership with other architects across the wider practice, customers and subject matter experts throughout the NZDF. You will be adaptable, applying your skills in different parts of the NZDF varying from Mission outcomes to Logistic planning and everything in between. You will become the architecture team's expert in how those parts of the business operate. If you have business architecture skills or experience in architecting within a digital ecosystem, we would like to hear from you. As a Principal Architect, you will work closely with the Senior Enterprise Architects, providing depth of expertise from a range of architectural disciplines, such as security, integration or information, that span the Defence ecosystem. You will establish reference patterns for wide reuse within the Ecosystem, enabling other architects, designers and delivery teams to realise value sooner for our customers. You will do this by having a long-term view informed by the needs of today, but not bound by them. Your expert advice and guidance will be valued and trusted, helping decision makers to identify long-term value and give viable options to unlock it quickly. For either role, you will already be working as an experienced architect, looking for a new challenge where you can put your experience and specialist skillsets into practice. If you join us, you will be working in an environment that brings together diverse capabilities across a wide variety of sectors from disaster relief through to providing tertiary education and accommodation services, including those that are unique to the Defence Force. It is our view that this provides some of the most varied and stimulating opportunities in Aotearoa New Zealand. You may believe that your skills and experience make you suitable for one or both of the Senior Enterprise Architect and Principal Architect roles. Please indicate which roles you are interested in as part of your application. The Architecture team sits within the wider Defence Digital Group (DDG) whose purpose is to Connect Our Force. We do this by leading the NZDF through complex change with our expertise, integrating the systems and components into a coherent whole, and defending our networks from threats. The DDG operates using evolving modern practices in a rapidly changing world, and the architect team has a key role in shaping that environment. Every hour of every day, 365 days of the year, the New Zealand Defence Force is contributing to the defence, security and well-being of Aotearoa / New Zealand. As a modern, professional military, it is our goal to maintain well-trained, equipped and disciplined armed forces that can react to crisis at short notice. Nou te rourou | What's in it for you NZDF is an inclusive organisation that is open to flexible working arrangements and welcomes applications from people regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, age, or family circumstances. Applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screening test prior to any offer of employment being made.
