Senior Engineer - Geotechnical (Or Civil Engineer)

```html Job Description To manage the operation, monitoring, surveillance, and compliance of Tailings Storage Facilities and other dams on the mine site, and to provide geotechnical, civil engineering, and project management expertise to a variety of other projects including geotechnical investigations and assessment, geotechnical support to mine operations, earthworks construction, and other infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure regular surveillance and monitoring of embankments is undertaken, reviewed, analysed, and reported on a regular basis.
Develop and maintain Operations, Maintenance and Surveillance Manuals, Emergency Action Plans, and other documentation required for compliance and safe operation of tailings and water dams.
Oversee and assist with earthworks construction, material selection, quality control, earthworks testing, record keeping and reporting.
Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance of dams and other structures in terms of resource and building consent requirements.
Prepare annual forecast budgets for ongoing spend on data collection, equipment, software, contractors and consultants, etc.
Plan and deliver geotechnical assessments to support project studies, resource consent applications and mine planning.
Undertake geotechnical modelling, analysis and assessment work, ensuring such work is appropriately reviewed by internal staff or consultants.
Understand and maintain close familiarity with site Ground Control Management Plans (GCMP) and Principal Hazard Management Plan (PHMP) for Ground Instability.
Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology (or alternative with a commensurate level of industry experience and professional development).
Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles.
8+ years' relevant experience.
