Engender Technologies is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Embedded (firmware/hardware) Engineer to join our innovative team.
As a key member of our rapidly growing company, you will play a pivotal role in developing groundbreaking cell sorting machines for the dairy industry.
Responsibilities: Develop Cutting-Edge Embedded solutions: Design, implement, and test embedded solutions for our cell sorting machines, focusing on real-time control, data acquisition, and communication protocols.
This involves firmware and hardware design.
Work with software Engineers, and coordinate and manage any outsourced hardware/firmware work with potential leadership possibilities in the future.
FPGA Development: Develop and maintain FPGA-based control systems, optimizing performance and reliability.
Algorithm Development: Design and implement algorithms for real-time data processing and control.
Testing: Design and build test benches/test fixtures; Implement system Integration tests (Hardware-in-the-Loop / Automated tests).
Technical Leadership: Ability to provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship.
Fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, software developers, and product managers.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded engineering.
Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming and embedded systems development.
Python and LabView desirable.
FPGA design/coding.
Preferably Altera/Intel FPGA and Verilog experience.
Embedded microcontroller design, preferably STM32.
Familiar with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and communication protocols (e.g., USB, UART, I2C).
Analog and digital circuit design.
PCB schematic capture and layout.
Altium desirable.
Documentation and regulatory compliance.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
