Senior Ehsr Advisor - Tokoroa

CarterHolt Harvey (CHH) are seeking someone who will partner with our General Manager for Plywood, and our Site Manager at our Distribution / Treatment operation, based at the Kinleith Estate, Tokoroa.
This is a Monday to Friday role, with some flexibility required as the Plywood mill is operational 24 / 7.
Close to Rotorua, Taupo and surrounding central regions, our Tokoroa site is in a prime location for those looking to make the most of our natural paradise of lakes, forests and mountains.
With your wealth of manufacturing industry background and your EHSR experience, you'll add value across the EHSR portfolio.
Offering a diverse and interesting mix, including some people leadership, responsibilities include:

Actively engaging with the workforce to ultimately increase the level of safety awareness
Identify, understand and effectively manage risks
Maintain and coordinate safety management systems, including compliance activities, contractor management, SOP development and investigations
Provide leadership to ensure completion of the annual routine EHSR activities and the improvement plans for both sites
Implement H&S plans and projects
Building safety leadership and capability across all levels
Identify training needs and deliver training plans
Lead two small support teams
Provide support to the National EHSR Manager in delivery of company-wide initiatives

You will bring to this role:

Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, including sound knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation
Proven ability to manage and train, with a minimum of 5 years' experience as an Advisor
Hands-on EHSR experience in a manufacturing environment
Computer literacy; fluent in all things MS Office and preferably Risk Manager
Be highly motivated, organised to juggle multiple tasks, with a strong attention to detail
Ability to gain buy-in at all levels of business and build positive relationships
Ability to build safety leadership capabilities
