Veterinary Services & Animal Welfare (Farming, Animals & Conservation) Sticks & Bones is well established and we have an excellent reputation as a professional dog walking & care business in Auckland. Majority of the walks that we do are one-on-one walks where a handler collects a clients dog from their home and takes them on a local-neighbourhood on leash walk.  Sticks & Bones has developed thorough protocols & procedures for assessing all dogs we handle, and ongoing evaluation of all dogs to ensure the services we are providing are best suited to each dog and their individual requirements - in order to set dogs up for success and positive enrichment. For your application to be considered you must possess the following qualifications / skill sets: • Minimum of 2 years canine handling experience. • Level 7 qualification in animal behaviour and welfare. • Experience in assessing dogs as to suitability of temperament and behaviour for individual and group walks. • Experience in force free training methods for basic training with dogs. • Experience in addressing behavioural problems & developing training strategies to support the improvement & wellbeing in dogs that experience behavioural issues. • A NZ Licence and your own a reliable vehicle / transport. • Have or be able to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate (how to on the link below:) • Own a mobile phone with the ability to transfer a large amount of data (calls/TXT/MMS) and take quality images • Be passionate about optimal pet and animal care. • Be trustworthy, reliable, punctual and an effective communicator. • Have the ability to work independently without supervision. • Be available for full time employment of 30-40 hours weekly. • S&B provide full induction & on the job training. Our regular business hours are 7.00 am - 3.00 pm daily, Monday - Friday. This is a full time position with the potential of additional hours available to the right applicant. This is a fantastic job opportunity for someone experienced with canine handling to advance their career into a more senior role within a well established business. Job Types: Full time.
