Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Dog Groomer to join our team. As a key
member of our dog day care facility, you will be responsible for providing solo professional
grooming services tailored to various dog breeds.
Responsibilities:
Perform breed-specific grooming according to client specifications and industry standards.
Trim and style dogs' coats based on breed characteristics and customer preferences.
Expertly clean and express anal glands as needed during grooming sessions.
Thoroughly clean dogs' ears to ensure hygiene and prevent infections.
Brush dogs' teeth to maintain oral health and fresh breath.
Handle and restrain dogs safely and compassionately during grooming procedures.
Monitor dogs for any signs of health issues or abnormalities and report to pet owners if
Maintain high level of cleanliness and organization of grooming tools, equipment, and work
area.
Provide exceptional customer service by consulting with pet owners to understand their
grooming preferences and any special requirements for their dogs.
· Knowledge of PetEexec software is an advantage

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a professional Dog Groomer, with expertise in breed -
specific grooming techniques.
- Proficiency in bath washing, blow outs, de-sheds, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, nail trimming and
teeth brushing.
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with patience and care.
- Strong knowledge of different dog breeds, their grooming needs, and coat types.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and
colleagues.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality grooming services.
- Certification from a reputable grooming school or equivalent experience preferred.
- Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends or holidays as needed.
Location Auckland
Employment is permanent and is for a minimum of 32hrs a week between 7:00am and
7:00pm Monday to Friday
Applicants must be able to work evenings and public holidays
Pay rate $30 to $37 per hour depending on experience
