You will take a lead role in mapping the way forward for ACC's Digital Product Design team.
In the role you will be: Work with internal business teams, customers and the Digital Product Design Manager to prioritise and ensure the delivery of design in the right way.
Take a lead role in all stages of design from research through to live product.
Provide expert guidance and advice to stakeholders on digital user experience best practices.
Provide mentoring and support to other team members and the wider organisation.
Facilitate workshops with key stakeholders across the business.
Build and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Work within an agile team of focused product owners, developers, testers, and business analysts.
Provide thought leadership to influence and improve human-centred design methodology at ACC.
We'd love you to have: A comprehensive portfolio that shows a high level of design thinking and a strong visual background demonstrating consistent brand-aligned user experiences across a variety of digital platforms.
Significant experience as a digital product designer working in a fast-paced agile team environment, proficient in human-centred design, and experienced with methodologies such as Design Thinking, LeanUX, Design Sprints, or similar.
An ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to relevant stakeholders.
An ability to form good working relationships with product teams including Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and Scrum Masters, and feel comfortable representing the user perspective in conversations with the product team.
Significant experience designing and facilitating workshop sessions with a range of stakeholders.
Experience analysing and synthesising qualitative and quantitative research data, drawing insights from those findings and reporting back to key stakeholders.
An understanding of design systems, pattern libraries, and mobile-first responsive design.
Proficiency in using Figma, with a strong familiarity with auto layout.
A proficiency with standard industry research and testing tools.
An understanding of the NZ Government Web Accessibility Standards.
Ability to negotiate and influence where necessary, but not at the expense of the desired outcomes.
