Senior Digital Architect (Wellington)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Digital Architect to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital architecture, cloud technologies, and experience in delivering scalable and secure digital platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent technical and leadership skills, capable of driving innovation and aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design and Strategy:

Develop and maintain a comprehensive digital architecture strategy aligned with business goals.

Design scalable, secure, and high-performance digital solutions, including web and mobile applications, cloud infrastructure, and data analytics platforms.

Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, frameworks, and tools to meet business requirements.

Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead and mentor a team of architects and developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, and business stakeholders, to define and prioritise digital initiatives.

Act as a technical advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Technical Oversight and Governance:

Establish and enforce architectural best practices, standards, and guidelines.

Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in all digital solutions.

Oversee the technical implementation of projects, including code reviews, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in digital architecture, software development, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance digital solutions.

Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), microservices architecture, and API management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, containerization, infrastructure as code).

Certification in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
