Child Women and Family Services Permanent, Part Time 0.5 FTE An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced paediatric dietitian to join our Community Child Health Team in the designated position of Senior Dietitian.
This recognised senior role provides leadership within the Child, Women and Family (CWF) teams by demonstrating advanced knowledge and clinical practice within the Dietitian discipline. You will be expected to work closely with the Clinical Leader for Dietetics CWF to assist the service to achieve the optimum standards of practice and demonstrate inter-professional collaborative practice in the delivery of health services to children and their whanau/families.
In addition, this role will support the quality of care and service development initiatives within the CWF service by providing expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Professional supervisionProject or quality improvement activities - e.g. policy development, contribution to working groups, etc.Orientation and Preceptorship of new staffClinical coaching and mentoringDevelopment of specialist clinical resources as required by the teamAlongside your senior activities you will be supported to maintain and manage a clinical caseload in the Community Child Health Team as directed by the Clinical Leader for Dietetics, CWF. This may include providing dietetic assessments and management for children across our inpatient services (Rangatira and SCBU) as well as the community and outpatient services – so a degree of flexibility and time-management is vital.
This role is predominantly based in the Community Child Health Teams based in North Shore and West Auckland, but will include some interconnected working across the wider CWF service - it is therefore expected that you will need to travel across sites at times.
