Our client is seeking a motivated individual to join their team in Timaru as a Senior Despatch Coordinator. Working closely with the Despatch Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient communication between customer services, operational units, and drivers, guaranteeing smooth day to day operations and exceptional service delivery across all aspects of this essential business.
Key Responsibilities include:
Coordinating and facilitating operations to uphold service delivery promises to customers.Auditing, analysing, and reviewing routes to maintain and enhance efficiency.Supporting the team in reviewing and analysing systems and documents to ensure compliance with transport regulations and operating procedures.Managing daily correspondence, and coordinating documentation and reporting via ERP systemsActing as an escalation point for the team, ensuring continuity and efficiency in operations when site management is unavailable.What we are looking for in the ideal candidate: 2 years demonstrated experience in despatch, transport or logistics with exceptional customer service.Familiarity with transport regulations such as Land Transport Rules and Logbook rules would be advantageous.Proven track record of effectively addressing, solving and escalating problems in a timely manner. Demonstrated experience in CRM/ERP systems with a high level of computer literacy.Ability to understand and implement operating procedures.Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to remain proactive, resilient, and calm in high-pressure environments.
