What's so exciting about this role? We are seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on Senior UX Designer to join this insightful Marketing and Cards Team in NZ. You will create impactful, relevant, on-brand and timely campaign assets and content, across all channels, to ensure cut through, engage, and wow our customers. As part of the team, you will be involved with all phases of process, including research, concept build, design development and finalisation. You will be responsible for creating and executing high quality design concepts and maintaining brand continuity. We are looking for someone who has an exceptional creative mind, strong graphic design skills, commitment to the craft, an eye for detail and not afraid to push creative boundaries for work to stand out in a busy market.
What does an average day look like? No day is average at humm but here is an idea of what you can expect to do in this role and what you will be responsible for:
Work collaboratively with the marketing team to understand and interpret marketing creative briefs and to then develop compelling and relevant collateral within brand guidelines and agreed timelines. Work to ensure consistency of creative execution across all channel and communication elements of every campaign and overall portfolio. Hands on from conception to completion including preparation of artwork for print and/or upload approved assets onto digital platforms. Liaise with cross functional teams like product & sales to deliver design solutions that meet their needs. Co-ordinate the rollout of new or updated print and digital marketing material across the various business segments. Liaise with external contractors for the delivery of promotional items within the agreed budgets and timelines. Provide professional design consultancy and advice on projects, as required. Proactively contribute to streamlined, efficient and compliant execution of material by developing and ensuring adherence to templates, guidelines, and process documents. Update and assist with the evolving of brand guidelines as required. Manage promotional design and printing within agreed budget parameters & deadlines. Maintain a well-organised database of electronic files of all assets across all portfolios. Stay up to date with emerging graphic trends, industry, and design technologies. You will also have:
Proficiency with Apple Mac and design software including but not limited to: Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, After Effects, and Premiere Pro. Experience with animation, video editing, print production, HTML5/XML and Content Management System. Solid understanding of CX, UI, branding concepts and the ability to create and maintain a consistent brand identity. Demonstration of a strong portfolio with diverse range of design elements or projects with a high level of creativity and innovation. Multifaceted designer who is willing to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, such as agencies and vendors. Ability to work independently, manage prioritization and handle multiple tasks. Strong attention to visual details and ability to think clearly, critically, and analytically for problem solve. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strongaesthetic skills that bring concept to life Minimum of 5 years of experience in a design role. A degree in graphic design or similar field.
