What You'll Do As a Senior Data Scientist, you will contribute to the design and development of a cutting-edge insights product, enabling organizations to make informed, data-driven decisions.
Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and customers, you'll transform complex datasets into actionable intelligence that drives value for organizations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities: Data Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver a new data product offering that provides actionable workforce analytics and predictive insights.Data Analysis and Modelling: Conduct exploratory data analysis of user behavior, workforce trends, and product data to identify patterns and inform product decisions.Visualization & Reporting: Develop intuitive dashboards and visualizations that make complex data accessible to diverse audiences.Customer Collaboration: Work with clients to understand their needs, validate assumptions, and ensure solutions are practical and impactful.Product Thinking: Partner with product teams to shape the vision, strategy, and user experience of our Insights and Analytics products.Data Strategy: Ensure data pipelines, structures, and processes align with the requirements to support scalable insights delivery to our customers.Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to ensure our product remains innovative and impactful.Location: Remote (New Zealand)

We're seeking a self-starter who combines deep technical expertise with strong product thinking.

Minimum Requirements: Experience: 5+ years of experience in data science or BI development, with a focus on product or customer insights, ideally in SaaS or B2B environments.Technical Skills:Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.Strong skills in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).Familiarity with scripting or analysis tools like Python or R.Strong Understanding of machine learning algorithms (supervised & unsupervised learning).Product Thinking: Ability to connect data insights to user needs and product opportunities, shaping solutions that deliver value.Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings in a clear, actionable way.Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.Bonus Skills: Experience in HR Tech or working with skills and workforce data is a plus.Willingness to travel to our Takapuna office as required for planning.All Fuellies are a core part of growing our culture and making Fuel50 an inspirational and amazing place to work.
