As a B2B company, we partner with leading energy retailers and distributors in New Zealand and Australia.Exciting opportunity to join the new joint venture company in a newly created role as a Senior Cyber Security Analyst. In this role, you will help keep Bluecurrent's multiple clients secure, by proactively analysing security threats, challenges, and risks to their security environment. This includes reviewing and monitoring security systems, network logs, and SIEM alerts for malicious activity or unacceptable use.Key responsibilities include:Coordinate mitigation, response, and investigation efforts when security incidents arise.Provide support and feedback to the other Senior Cyber Security Analysts and Engineers to improve their efficiency and know-how.This role will also require operational work (BAU) on multiple security systems, including Level 2 support.Collaborate with cyber service providers to ensure smooth service delivery and compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Implement continuous improvements for service performance and ensure user satisfaction across the organisation.Ensuring high levels of availability and integrity across these platforms, engaging with various service providers for efficient service delivery, incident management, and problem resolution.Applying technical cyber security acumen to support projects and provide input on service design and operational processes.Assist with the creation and documentation of standard operating procedures and protocols.Provide 24x7 on call support as required.Who we are looking for:To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a degree in information, cyber security, or a related field with security certifications such as SANS or CREST Certification, GCIH, OSCP, Security+, CISSP and 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience across:Securing cloud environments and understanding cloud security frameworks.Analysing network traffic and usage of Deep Packet Inspection tools.Analysing endpoints, networks, and application logs.Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Web and Email Security, Endpoint Security, and SIEM.Akamai - Web Security and Performance, Rapid7 InsightVM -Vulnerability scanning, Dome9 - Cloud Security and Compliance, Check Point CloudGuard -Security Inspection and Segmentation, Check Point Endpoint Protection, OKTA Password Policy / Multi-Factor Authentication.Implementation of standards, especially NIST, ISO/IEC 2700x.Additionally, you will have a problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.
