This realignment has created several new permanent positions for cyber security professionals passionate about GRC and providing pragmatic advice to our business customers and project teams.We're looking for talented individuals to fill this role:Senior Cyber Security Assurance professionals experienced in providing pragmatic governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) advice to project teams and product owners in areas such as bespoke applications, Data Governance, Azure and AWS Cloud Platforms, Software products including Software-as-a-Service, IT infrastructure, DevOps, and more!Responsibilities:Act as the IT Security GRC subject matter expert providing pragmatic advice to project teams, product owners, and risk owners regarding cyber security-related risks.Review documentation for systems, create formal risk assessments, undertake control validation assessments, arrange external testing, and define remediation actions.Complete Certification and Accreditation documents and present findings and recommendations to product and risk owners.Identify cyber security remediation and improvements in existing IT systems and inform product owners.Skills and Experience Required:10+ years' experience in identifying, documenting, and mitigating risks in technology areas such as Data, Cloud platforms, SaaS products, networks, traditional IT Infrastructure, bespoke applications, and DevOps.In-depth understanding of cyber security standards and frameworks (e.g., NZISM, NIST, CIS, ISO27001, ISO19011).Proven ability to remain up-to-date with technical changes and opportunities within the cyber security domain.In addition to the experience, you will also need:Cyber security relevant certification (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP).Must already be in NZ with a legal right to live and work here.Must be able to meet the requirement to obtain and retain "SECRET" clearance.Successful candidates will be required to complete a credit check to the satisfaction of MBIE.MBIE's goal is to create a resilient and high-performing economy that delivers real and ongoing quality of life for all New Zealanders.People are at the heart of our work, guided by our values which shape our behaviours:Maia – Bold and bravePae Kahurangi – Build our FutureMBIE is committed to meaningful partnerships with iwi and Maori groups to enable economic and social development.How to Apply:Click here to view a position description.
