THE ROLEWe have an excellent opportunity for a Control Systems / Industrial Automation Engineer.
This is a permanent position with the expectation of long-term commitment and involves working on a variety of sites and projects within a team environment.The role involves working on projects through their entire life cycle from concept, design, software development, testing, documentation, site commissioning, customer training and follow-up support.THE PERSONTertiary qualification within Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics or similar.Minimum of 7 years' strong working knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI and Telemetry programming with Schneider Electric and Allen-Bradley, Omron control systems.Experience with different programming languages, LD, FB, SFC and ST.Extensive knowledge of Industrial communication protocols, such as Ethernet/IP, HART and Modbus RTU and TCP/IP.Integration with 3rd party software and database.Advanced in AutoCAD for Industrial Automation.Understanding and interpreting electrical and wiring schematics.Strong focus on reliability maintenance and an aptitude for fault diagnosis.Team player but able to work autonomously.Consultative abilities, able to talk through solutions with clients.Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication both written and verbal.Positive attitude with a commitment to personal development.Driver's License (Full).Nice to Have:Knowledge with Wonderware System Platform.Experience with Yokogawa RTUs.Experience with Ignition SCADA system.Experience using other languages and environments such as .Net, C#, Python and SQL.Water industry experience.EWRB registration (Full).BMS Experience.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Design, setup, and program automation projects using various PLC, HMI and VSD and instrumentation systems.Development of engineering design standards.
