Senior Contract Manager - Business Partner at Land Information New Zealand, Wellington Senior opportunity available in our Contract Management team to support Crown Property.Extract maximum value from our agreements, great growth opportunity for the right individual.Small team, big impact in a flexible working environment, that know how to have fun.The Crown Property group is responsible for managing around 2 million hectares of Crown land and waterways across New Zealand including surplus crown assets, commercial and residential properties, pastoral leases and forestry licences. We administer the Treaty Settlements Landbank, acquisitions and disposals, biosecurity, and Crown Forest licenses. We provide leadership and direction for LINZ administered Crown land, looking for opportunities to maximise these assets for the benefit of New Zealanders.We are seeking to appoint a Senior Contract Manager to partner, to work across all of Crown Property to provide contract management, advice, support and specialised knowledge to our property management teams and to the delivery of Crown Property objectives and work programmes.This role is pivotal in managing commercial issues and providing advice on key contracts. The successful candidate will be experienced across a number of contractual arrangements including master services agreements, facilities maintenance, consultancy engagements, construction/infrastructure contracts, Government Model Contracts (GMC), funding agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoU); with a proven track record in interpreting and managing contracts. You will have a good understanding of health and safety from the experience gained in your career.You will be responsible for working across Crown Property to coach, mentor and influence, and provide relevant support whilst identifying areas for development and continuous improvement of tools and templates.You will be involved in managing a number of relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and relevant suppliers to support successful outcomes, you will ensure the delivery to agreed performance and quality standards. You will also support the Principal Contract Manager to manage strategic, high value and high-risk contracts.To be successful in this role you will need to be able to work independently in an agile manner, have a high attention to detail, excellent communication skills execute at pace, be a quick learner, have a great work ethic and a good sense of humour.This role will provide exposure to a diverse range of contracts and subject matters working closely with a range of subject matter experts. You will get the opportunity to develop your skills and experience working closely with a dynamic Principal Contract Manager as well as a range of experienced leaders. Your voice can be part of the decision-making process that supports the delivery of tangible outcomes for New Zealand and all its inhabitants.5+ years' experience managing relationships at different levels with a variety of key stakeholders, ideally with experience from both client and contractor perspectives.Strong understanding of contract management within the public sector and government procurement rules.Experience in contract negotiation, implementation, governance, and performance management, ideally with infrastructure and/or construction experience.Excellent oral and written communication skills for a variety of audiences, and ability to produce high quality documentation clearly, articulately, and succinctly.Be experienced in and enjoy mentoring and influencing others.Experience compiling, reviewing, and managing the following contract types will be viewed favourably: New Zealand Standard contracts (e.g. NZS3910), funding/grant agreements, MOU's, Condition of Contract for Consultancy Services (CCCS), all of Government panels, and government model contracts.Qualifications that are a 'nice to have' might be:Construction or property degree and/ or relevant real life contract management experience,Preference for CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualified or equivalent,The annual salary range for this role is: $102,000 – $120,000 dependant on skills and experience.Interesting work which impacts Aotearoa as we care for whenua, moana and arawai.Eye & ear care reimbursementsReduced Health Insurance PremiumsDiverse groups and networksIf eligible for paid parental leave, you will be entitled to a top up payment for the first 18 weeks of the 26 weeks.A minimum of four weeks and three days annual leaveToitu Te Whenua plays a vital role in understanding, developing, and caring for New Zealand's whenua, moana and arawai (land, sea and waterways).
