About the Role (Your Why)
Are you a data and BI expert looking to make a meaningful impact with your technical skills? We're seeking a Senior Consultant - Data and BI with proven technical lead capabilities to guide the team in best practices for data warehousing and business intelligence, ensuring robust and efficient solutions. You will bring specialized knowledge and deep technical expertise to our Business Intelligence projects. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of data innovation, leveraging the Microsoft Fabric platform and a suite of advanced tools and technologies to deliver high-value BI solutions that drive strategic decision-making.
This role offers you the chance to collaborate with a talented team, work on diverse and challenging projects, and guide clients in transforming their data into actionable insights. You'll be a trusted advisor, shaping solutions that solve real business problems and empowering clients to harness the full potential of their data.
What you'll bring
Technical Skills: Full Top to bottom Power BI layer experience, Microsoft Fabric, Dimensional Modelling, Semantic Modelling experience, DAX, SQL, ERP and Financial systems, Debit and credit and balance sheet statements
Ability to guide and influence senior management
Advanced problem solving and consulting skills
Advanced project management skills
Ability to identify and influence stakeholders at all levels to reach the desired outcome, enabling them to work effectively in complex environments
Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels
Ability to communicate technical concepts and align them with client business goals and objectives
Responsibilities
Senior development in Power BI reporting and semantic model management on complex models.
Maintaining and providing production support of corporate reporting applications
Ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within cost and in line with agreed quality standards and client requirements
Planning, conducting and guiding the analysis of business intelligence initiatives
Providing expertise on data analysis, identification of data sources and modification of data architecture as necessary
Guiding the design, development and analysis to produce dashboards, metrics, or insights and identify trends or anomalies
Adhere to report design and quality best practices as defined, using modern UX standards and conforming to Kimball best practices
Support and further a group wide awareness of the benefit of analytics and centralized reporting and see encouraging signs of adoption of business intelligence and analytics
Identifying and analysing business requirements and providing the most effective and efficient technical solutions
