Are you looking for a career where your work has long-term impact?Do you want to work for a council that strives to make a difference in our community?Fixed term position - approx. 9 monthsIf you answered yes to all these questions then we have the role for you!We believe the way we do things really does make a difference in the lives of those who live in our communities and as Senior Consents Planner within our Planning team you'll play a significant part in this by shaping the future of our district.You will be involved in processing resource consent applications, appearing and presenting at resource consent hearings, providing technical advice to other members of the team, and guiding customers through the District Plan, Resource Management Act, and other relevant legislation.Our ideal applicant will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and will have five years' planning experience in the resource management field, preferably within a local government setting.To thrive in this role, you will need good time management skills, as the position often requires managing multiple projects simultaneously. Additionally, you will have excellent writing skills, with the ability to describe situations and convey concepts and arguments through the written word.Good verbal communication skills are also essential.
