Our client is a US owned large organisation with R&D centre in NZ.
Their power electronics products are niche market and state of the art, new clients are being added to their already large high profile customer base around the world.
They are designing, developing, and manufacturing next-generation energy technologies in a fast-paced and fun work environment.With new product roadmaps and markets in the pipeline they are seeking to appoint a Senior Compliance Test Engineer whowill join their international compliance experts, directing the design, operation, testing and certification of AC, DC, and Bi-Directional EV charging systems for installation around the world.
The role: In this role you will: Manage and support EV charging equipment and system designs Develop test and certification plans Write product test reports and maintain all compliance technical documents Create and manage test plans to validate product designs Create laboratory test specifications and procedures Develop internal labs capabilities to perform validation and certification testing Define the specifications and plan for future test equipment purchases Perform/Participate in validation and certification tests Manage worldwide certification efforts with external agencies What you will need: As the ideal candidate you will come from a hardware electronics compliance background with a solid broad technical knowledge base and the ability to lead initiatives.
You will have a degree relevant to electronics / electrical engineering and/or solid experience in compliance projects across a range of products.
Ideally you will bring into the role also: Knowledge of Electronics and Electrical Engineering principles Experience with complex electronics products Experience with EV Chargers or power supplies (would be advantageous) Experience with EV standards (would be advantageous) What's in it for you?
