Marketing Communications (Marketing & Communications)Reporting to the Communications and Media Manager, you will provide professional communication advice and outputs to WellingtonNZ's Business and Innovation division, by connecting audiences with the projects, programmes, events and support being implemented through the Business & Innovation teams.This is an opportunity to establish the role and shape it to serve the needs of the organisation.Assist the teams in communicating the work we do, the businesses we support, and the region we operate in. This will help to manage stakeholder expectations, increase the visibility of what is happening, and build positive reputations.Day to day, you will:Identify stories that highlight the positive outcomes of our work and capitalize on opportunities to add more value and insights.Identify media opportunities.Ensure the division's work is presented in a way that will be impactful; clearly understood among customers and seen as strategic, dynamic, collaborative, and generally delivering economic results for the Wellington region.Develop information to inform the wider regional community to understand WNZ's functions and outcomes, to build reputation and brand value.Support Screen Wellington by delivering timely, well-written, and engaging stakeholder communications that highlight the sector's success, important events, and activities.About youYou are a people person who enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders and loves the challenge of building a new role. You will have:A passion for storytelling with strong written and editing skills.Advanced computer skills, project management, content management, graphic/website design, and relevant tertiary study.Over three years of communications experience, with business or local government context as an advantage.A good understanding of communications and stakeholder engagement processes, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to work across a multi-disciplinary team and with multiple agencies.An analytical, results and solutions focus, comfortable working to tight deadlines.A passion for Te Upoko o Te Ika, its people, events, and businesses!About usWellingtonNZ is the agency tasked with 'Creating a thriving Wellington Region for all'.
