Senior Communications Advisor at Energy Efficiency & Conservation Authority, Wellington - Wairarapa Use your communications expertise to mobilise New Zealanders with their energy useJoin a meaningful organisation with a purposeFixed-term opportunity in our Wellington or Auckland officeMo te tunga | About the role In this Senior Communications Advisor role, you will deliver copy and content in a variety of formats – such as media releases, web copy and long-form articles. You will be the first point of contact on specific strategic objective areas for EECA.
In this role you will:
Develop and deliver effective communication strategies to promote EECA's workLead briefings for channel specialistsManage day-to-day media enquiries and build relationships with key media suppliers and journalistsIdentify and manage communications risksTo be successful in this role, you will have:
5+ years of experience in Communications – either in a PR or Government agencyStrong written communication skills for a range of mediaExperience with media managementAn interest in energy-related topics and a willingness to learnAn important opportunity to join a government agency with a strong focus on delivery, to do meaningful work with motivated people that has a tangible impact on the lives of New Zealanders.
