Te Turanga | About the role:A key member of our Commercial Finance team, and responsible to our Commercial Manager - Supply, the Senior Commercial Analyst provides meaningful financial and commercial analysis and insight to the livestock, production planning and operations areas to inform strategic, tactical and operational decisions, and advises these teams on decisions that drive performance and build enduring value within the business.The day-to-day in this role sees you operate as partner and advisor within a broad "Supply" portfolio – this is an enterprise-wide analyst role that has ties into our key revenue generating business units.
This role, done well, ensures that our supply and production teams can make the best commercial decisions to positively impact the financial performance of Silver Fern Farms.Key deliverable areas of this role include:Develop models, margin commentary, forward & spot pricing views, and forecast production margins for our livestock teams to inform the business on future supply and planning decisions.Create regular schedules, and schedule previews to enable production planning decision making.Perform Enterprise Analysis in partnership with Finance group.Contribute to several Commercial Team and cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.Ensure that models meet the needs of the business, demonstrate best practice techniques, robust logic, clear understanding of underlying business drivers and effectively use BI resources.Develop and maintain understanding of the environment the business operates in, to assist in getting meaningful insight to analyse and explain financial and operating performance as well as anticipating future trends.Ou Pukenga | About You:You'll be a professional with significant experience working in a similar role in a commercial team within the Agri/Livestock/Planning industries.
