Auckland Council is one of the largest local government authorities in the South Pacific and contributes to the management of approximately 3,000km of diverse coastline.We have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Coastal Work Programme Lead, with applied experience in work programme management and coastal engineering.Be part of a team of coastal engineers, coastal scientists, project managers, and adaptation planners. We provide technical expertise to support the management of council's coastal assets including delivery of the capital renewals work programme.Work closely with the Coastal Management Practice Lead, as work programme sponsor, to provide oversight and coordination of all coastal delivery projects. This technical work programme includes a diverse portfolio of coastal structures including boat ramps, seawalls, and wharves. Ensure quality, contractual, and financial requirements across all delivery projects are met, working in collaboration with project managers, key stakeholders, and suppliers.Work alongside a multi-faceted team, utilising a combination of technical and strategic experience and skills to assess, monitor, and manage programme risks.We are looking for a collaborative and self-motivated individual who is passionate about Auckland's diverse coastline.You have a strong understanding of capital works delivery (ideally within the coastal environment), whole-of-life decision making, and contract management.
