As a Coastal Engineer with us, you will have the opportunity to lead analysis of coastal processes and provide expert advice on current and future risks. You will support coastal communities in evaluating resilience and adaptation options, contributing to the design and implementation of interdisciplinary coastal resilience programs, and effectively communicating scientific findings and adaptation plans to stakeholders. Additionally, you will have the chance to provide expert insights in relevant forums, contribute to ongoing innovation in coastal science and adaptation approaches, and help expand our network by identifying new opportunities.

You will need to have at least 7 years' experience in consulting practice with good experience on a broad range of coastal engineering projects. You will have significant design experience and possess strong client facing skills.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Designing, planning, and managing projects related to coastal areas and waterfronts
Client liaison and coordination including reports on progress
Provide input into the preparation of work proposals
Lead engineering investigations and analysis of coastal processes
Provide company-wide expertise on coastal engineering projects
Accurate calculations and high-quality analysis of results, including cost estimation preparation of work specifications
Assess the environmental impact of coastal development projects, considering factors such as habitat preservation, water quality, and the protection of endangered species
Work with clients to formulate strategies for managing and preserving shorelines, including strategies for beach nourishment, dune restoration, and coastal vegetation preservation
