We are seeking an experienced, flexible, and driven Senior Clinical Pharmacist to lead the expansion of our pharmacy services within the Cardiothoracics Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing private organisation, and to be part of our amazing pharmacy team!The Opportunity:In this newly established role, the pharmacist will enhance our presence in the cardiothoracic surgery service by offering expert clinical support, streamlining processes, with a focus on enhancing the service to better support both our team and our patients. This full-time position, scheduled from Monday to Friday, will also entail weekend responsibilities and on-call duties.In this fast paced, dynamic role you will be responsible for:Providing Leadership for Cardiothoracic Patient Pharmacy Services: Responsibilities involve participation in ward rounds, offering clinical insights on medication management, and ensuring seamless discharge procedures.Service development: In this new role, you will collaborate with the Charge Clinical Pharmacy Manager to develop and expand this clinical service.Supporting the broader clinical pharmacy team, particularly rotational pharmacists and students, in their learning and professional growth.Initiatives for enhancing quality, updating guidelines, protocols, and policies tailored for the cardiothoracic unit.For our ideal candidate we are looking for:A NZ qualified Pharmacist with current APC.A minimum of three years of clinical pharmacy experience is required, with essential experience in general surgical wards.
