There is a 3-bedroom recently renovated school house available for the successful applicant to reside in.
Omarama School is a small rural U1 school, with a roll of approximately 40 students. Currently, we have 2 classrooms operating: Y1–4 and Y5–8. We have a strong Board, an excellent Friends of School fundraising team, a supportive parent community, and excellent connections with the wider school community.
Omarama School is looking for a highly dedicated teacher who inspires fun and curiosity in our senior multi-level classroom. We are looking for a collaborative team player who can build positive relationships with students, staff, and the community. Our candidate needs to be progressive and willing to participate in professional development and network with other schools. The successful candidate is also required to support the Principal in implementing initiatives conducive to transition programmes and enhance growth leadership and opportunities within our senior syndicate.
Strengths in literacy, mathematics, and Te Ao Maori would be an advantage. As we are a PB4L school, knowledge and strengths in PB4L practices would be a valuable contribution to our school behaviour management system. We are looking for an experienced teacher to help lead some new initiatives across the school, support our EOTC activities, and bring fun and continued stability to our wonderful team.
