You will be an excellent communicator in both written and verbal and be a proactive team member.Responsibilities IncludeManagement of a range of public and private sector projectsLiaison and relationship management with a diverse range of stakeholders including staff, clients, contractors, specialists and council staff.Designing and planning civil engineering projectsSupervising the construction of civil engineering projectsInspecting completed civil engineering projects to ensure they meet all safety and quality standardsWriting reports on the progress of civil engineering projectsProviding advice and guidance to junior engineersExperience Required10+ years' experience in Civil Engineering, ideally in Christchurch or QueenstownIdeally a chartered civil engineerA strong background in hydrology, design and working knowledge of site supervision of land development and civil infrastructure projects.Land development experience.Must have design experience with 12DStormwater-focused engineer with experience in HEC-HMS and/or HEC-RAS is highly desirable.Practical 'on site' experienceHave working experience with local Council standards and codes of practice.You will have solid independent technical report writing skills
